Sanibel Island this summer

We'll be going to Sanibel Island for the first time ever this summer, and I'm looking for locals or other Sanibel lovers to tell me what they like to do, where to eat, where to shop, etc. We're interested in a boat excursion - I read about someone else who took a boating trip and had brunch on some other little island - that would be cool. We are staying at the Sanibel Beach Club, so anyone that has stayed there or knows the place, feel free to post a review. Thanks so much!

Sanibel Island this summer

We're making our first trip to Sanibel Island this summer, and I can't wait. I would love to hear from locals or others who love Sanibel, and tell me the best places to eat, shop, play, and anything else you'd like to add. We'd like to take some type of boating adventure - I read on someone else's blog about a boating excursion that took them to some little island for brunch.
