Sanibel Island this summer

We're making our first trip to Sanibel Island this summer, and I can't wait. I would love to hear from locals or others who love Sanibel, and tell me the best places to eat, shop, play, and anything else you'd like to add. We'd like to take some type of boating adventure - I read on someone else's blog about a boating excursion that took them to some little island for brunch. We'll be staying at Sanibel Beach Club on a RCI exchange, so anyone that has stayed there please feel free to respond with a review - thanks so much!
